This is the SBML Level 2 Version 2 specification, Revision 1, issued 26 September 2006. It has been superceded by more recent Versions of SBML. Despite that this is called Revision 1, no other Revisions of the SBML Level 2 Version 2 specification have been produced to date.

SBML uses a subset of MathML to encode mathematical expressions. The XML Schema for MathML is included in the specification document itself, and it is provided here as a separate download for convenience.
