Important new features in the Virtual Cell 17 Oct '05 10:48

The Virtual Cell ( http://vcell.org <http://vcell.org> ) is a freely
available problem solving environment (PSE) for modeling and simulating
biochemical reaction pathways and electrophysiology, as well as
diffusion and advection in arbitrary 2D and 3D cellular geometries.

We are pleased to announce the availability of VCell 4.1 (beta)

( http://vcell.org/login/login.html <http://vcell.org/login/login.html>
), with the following major new features:

*** Lateral Diffusion in Membranes for 2D and 3D models

(see http://vcell.org/login/MembraneDiffusion.htm )

*** 3D Surface Visualization

(see http://vcell.org/login/3D_MembraneSurfaceViewer.htm )

*** Improved modeling diagrams and other usability issues

(see http://vcell.org/login/release_notes.html )

VCell 4.2 (coming November 2005)
