You are right we can postpone this decision.
I just meant to say that L2V2 is the earliest we can introduce this.
This kind of change is beyond the scope of an errata.

I don't understand the motivation for this:
species, parameter and compartment can all be declared as variables
by setting constant = false (which is the default for species).

What's the problem you are trying to solve?
What is the form of a state variable structure?
