column to return is one of the URL-containing columns in the Google spreadsheet for SBML Level 3 package statuses, subpath to append is an optional additional path to add to the path retrieved from the spreadsheet, and text to be made into a link is the text that should be turned into a link and displayed to the viewer.

The argument subpath to append comes into play when the value returned from the spreadsheet is the root of a hierarchy of pages, and you want to add text to the URL retrieved. For example, the URL retrieved might be http://sbml.org/directory, and you may want to add the text "/page-x" to the value. This could be done by using addpath=/page-x.

This template assumes that the column being returned from the Google spreadsheet is a URL, because it constructs a link in MediaWiki syntax. If the column returned does not contain a URL, then the result from calling this template will be broken text, or a broken link, or both.

This template is used in the SBML Level 3 package specification pages. More information about the templates used in those pages is available on the templates information page.
